Using their own bike, students will learn the basic cycling skills and knowledge needed to ride a bike safely and confidently. The session covers:
- safety check, including helmet, tyres, chain and brakes.
- bike control, environment scanning, signalling and riding manoeuvres.
- safely crossing intersections and the road (footpath to footpath).
- Queensland road rules and footpath etiquette.
Professional cycling coaches deliver the session.
All students must be able to ride a bike without training wheels. Please bring your own bike and helmet.
These sessions are free and conducted on school grounds during school time.
